[Ferro-Alloys.Com] Base metals prices fell further on dollar strength in kerb trading on the London Metal Exchange on Wednesday August 21, with copper falling through resistance levels following the official session.
Three-month copper closed the day at $7,240 per tonne, from its previous closing price of $7,320 per tonne. The dollar was trading at about 1.336 to the euro in the kerb session, from 1.338 in the official session and 1.339 at the open. “Copper prices fell this morning as the US dollar index ticked up,” an analyst said.
