LML has welcomed the granting of Major Development status by the South Australian Minister of Planning, Deputy Premier Mr John Rau to the infrastructure component of Iron Road Limited's Central Eyre Iron Project on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula.

Dr Parker said that "For Lincoln Minerals this is a very positive development especially in regards to our Gum Flat iron ore project. Not only does Iron Road's proposed infrastructure development open up central Eyre Peninsula for Lincoln Minerals and other explorers but the proposed port at Cape Hardy would also be a catalyst for Lincoln's proposed iron ore mine at Gum Flat on southern Eyre Peninsula."
