Russia's stainless steel imports increased by 84% month-on-month in March
According to Russia-based SpetsStal Association, in March 2023, Russia's stainless steel imports totaled 39,940 mt, a month-on-month increase of 84%.
In the given month, Russia's imports of stainless cold rolled steel, stainless hot rolled steel, stainless long steel, stainless seamless pipes, stainless welded pipes and stainless wire grew by 87%, 69%, 142%, 123%, 11% and 98%, respectively, month-on-month.
In March, China, which accounted for 78% of the total supply, was the main supplier of stainless products to Russia. China was followed by India with 9%, Indonesia with 6%, Slovenia with 3% and Turkey with 2%.
