Driven by innovation, the stainless steel industry in Ningde, southeast China's Fujian Province, has grown significantly in recent years. Local industry leaders such as Tsingtuo Group have contributed to the formation of a stainless steel business cluster. According to statistics, the stainless steel industry in Ningde was worth 23.6 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2021, supporting about 25,000 jobs.
For many years, China has been the world's leading producer and consumer of stainless steel. The country produced approximately 30.63 million tonnes of the world's 55 million tonnes of stainless steel in 2021. (Xinhua)
