According to data of Trade Statistics of Japan, in October 2021, Japan imported 1974.37 tons of ferrosilicon (containing by weight ≤ 55% of silicon), a month on month increase of 90.71%; a year-on-year increase of 245.73%. Among them, 1027 tons were imported from Russia, accounting for 52.02%, and 541 tons were imported from China, accounting for 27.4%.
