  "Intelligent manufacturing will be the main method of technological innovation and transformation during the" 14th five-year plan ". Fourthly, build intelligent operation and maintenance system of process equipment, including health monitoring and intelligent maintenance system of large-scale key equipment, cross regional, industry and platform equipment operation and maintenance cloud platform, as well as remote response mechanism and supporting service system of equipment operation and maintenance.

  During coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Baosteel Group, through remote operation and maintenance, big data and artificial intelligence, transformed the hot dip galvanizing intelligent workshop of cold rolling mill in Baoshan base of Shanghai into one factory that do not need more than one person to operate for 24 hours. And when the production line encounters technical problems, engineers can solve problems at home via mobile phones. By apps on the mobile phone, the relevant staff can not only clearly see the operation status of Baoshan base in Shanghai, but also the Zhanjiang base of Baosteel 3000 km away, truly achieving "no face-to-face production." Taking the intelligent hot galvanizing workshop of Baosteel cold rolling plant as an example, Gan Yong introduced how to use intelligent manufacturing to realize remote production.
