[Ferro-Alloys.com]Karaganda’s ferroalloy plant “YDD Corporation” has produced more than 45 thousand tons of ferrosilicon from the launch date. As of today, the plant’s products are successfully sold on the markets of Kazakhstan, Europe, Southeast Asia, North and South America, thereby satisfying local and global demand for ferrosilicon due to high-quality production. This is important because in recent years the export of ferroalloys has decreased by 14%, Strategy2050.kz reports.

The main product of the enterprise is the high-quality ferrosilicon, which is used in the production and alloying of steel, cast iron alloys, and in the improvement of the mechanical and corrosion resistance of metals.

The official opening ceremony of the new automated ferroalloy plant “YDD Corporation” was held in July 2019 in Karaganda region. More than 500 people were involved in the implementation of the project. Currently there are 550 qualified specialists working at permanent jobs.
