Ferro-alloys.com: The manganese forum of China Ferro Alloys Association was held in Beijing on Feburary 21st ,2019. It was held by CFAA and supported by Smelter,Xiongweiguangda New Material Co.,Ltd. About 60 persons from 36 manganese alloy producers were invited as well as Ferro-alloys.com.

Just at the end of Chinese Spring Festival the major manganese ore miners announced the price of MN ore with March shipment which was increased to usd6.25 and compared with Feb price usd5.70, and increased by 9.6%. Soon after that the price of manganese ore at spot Market in China also followed to increase a bit. Recently it is said that the electricity limitation in Wulanchabu Area of Inner Mongolia which caused huge attention in manganese market. The price of coking coal also increased recently. However the price of silicon manganese was decreasing day by day. The delegates committed the price of manganese ore in spot and shipment in March are relatively higher compared with the price of silicon manganese. Facing with these problems and challenges On condition that the silicon manganese was over supplied which brings much pressure to the manganese industry. Also they suggested to lower the production to decrease the silicon manganese supply and reduce the demand of manganese ore to avoid the potencial risks. Most of them preferred to use spot manganese ore to avoid the risk when the March shipment cargos arrived. Most of them will attend the conference on March 5th to 7th Macau to discuss more detail strategies with Mn miners to find a better way for the whole manganese industry.
