[Ferro-Alloys.com] 20 July, 2018, Steel and main ferroalloys industry enterprises communication meeting organized by the Manganese series committee of China Ferroalloy Industry Association and ten main steel mills in Beijing. Attendees including purchasing managers from HBIS, Baosteel, Wuhan Steel, Nanjing Steel, Anshan Steel, Shougang, Shagang Group, Benxi Steel, Ma Steel, and Shandong Steel.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Shi Wanli, General Secretary of China Ferroalloy Industry Association, and then Mr. Xue Yongmin, the head of the Manganese Committee and chairman of Shanxi Dongfang Resources Development Co., Ltd. introduced five major crises faced by the ferroalloy industry, which was caused by overcapacity in the industry and minerals depend on import, futures speculation affects the ferroalloys market, the credit crisis deleveraging, environmental crisis pressure. For the industry, all companies are required to be risk-aware and warned against the high price and fluctuation of manganese ore prices. At the same time, hope that directly communicate with steel mills, "cooperate together and build harmony; development common and create better future"!

The representatives confirmed the meeting important, reasonable analysis of  the status of the steel industry, self-discipline of ferroalloy industry, the sense of environmental, increased effective inventory to withstand risks, stable supply, and joint resistance to market risks. Representatives from 28 plants introduced their production conditions, environmental impacts, and talked freely on the capacity, product structure, price fluctuations, payment term of steel mills, self-discipline and new capacity increased, and effective communication with steel mills. 

This meeting enhanced the influence of the orderly development of the maintenance industry of the Ferroalloy Industry Association and played a positive role in the more orderly development of the ferroalloy industry, maintaining the health and stability of the market and consolidating the supply chain relationship of the ferroalloy.
