In this week, electrolytic manganese flake was quoted at RMB9,700-9,800/mt in Hunan, Chongqin, Guangxi and Guizhou places, while in Ningxia, large plant in local area put price at RMB10,000/mt. As for export market, price of electrolytic manganese flake contracted to USD1,600-1,650/mt FOB, while USD1,670-1,680/mt FOB for manganese briquette, and manganese ingot price was quoted at USD1,700-1,710/mt FOB As of selenium dioxide, the price also dropped to 115/kg in late July from 150/kg in late June thanks to weakened demand of electrolytic manganese.

Despite electrolytic manganese producers attempt to hold price firm, given slack season for stainless steel market during July and August, cut-throat competition would likely to further push down sale in the future, so the move of electrolytic manganese in August would be hard to keep in good shape.
