[Ferro-Alloys.com] As further downtrend of steelmakers bidding for May, it seems that silicon manganese spot market in China would be still hard to get out of dropping for the whole month.

It is said that there were few spot to supply in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Yunan province in China. Meanwhile, price of 6517 was edged down to RMB5,300-5,400/mt in Inner Mongolia and RMB5,200-5,300/mt in Ningxia. Despite high water season in south areas of China, cheaper power still failed to stimulate on manganese alloy producers to resume operation for ongoing low sale price. In addition, some steel mills also began to recover running in May which would in turn give a boost on alloy market. Given that in consideration, growing number of alloy suppliers are reluctanted to sell out pruducts.
