[Ferro-Alloys.com]Established in 1972 as a metal trading company with a strong China focus, Wogen has grown into one of the most diversified suppliers of high-value raw materials to the non-ferrous industry worldwide; be it for steel applications, aerospace, electronics, foundries, pigments or the alloying industry.
We are proud suppliers of Cobalt, Chrome, Titanium, Tantalum, Molybdenum and Niobium to the aerospace and super alloy industry. Our ferro alloys team is a large and well-regarded supplier of Ferro Chrome, Ferro Molybdenum, Ferro Titanium, Ferro Tungsten, and Ferro Vanadium to many of the world’s largest steel companies.
Wogen handles a significant volume of PGMs and are particularly strong in the OPMs: Rhodium, Ruthenium and Iridium. Each of these elements have their particular applications which come in and go out of “fashion” depending upon price and technical performance. Generally speaking they are consumed in the autocatalyst, HDD memory technology and crucible industries.
The company has a long and significant history in mineral sands be it rutile, zircon, ilmenite or Ti slag. Our wholly-owned Chinese subsidiary allows us to import, convert and distribute a high quality product and give our Chinese inland customers highly desired payment terms in their local currency.
We have the capability and know-how to import Monazite into China, to upgrade and then market the resultant Rare Earths. In addition we are also focusing on supplying Rare Earths to consumers in the western world.
In recent years Wogen has been developing its focus on sourcing Chrome Ores and Concentrates, Manganese Ores and other bulk materials for the metallurgical industry of China.
Wogen specialise in what has come to be termed “Minor Metals” and the company was a founding member of the Minor Metals Trade Association, where we continue to have a presence on the Main Committee and hold the current Vice Chairmanship. Ranging from Antimony to Zircon and encompassing Cadmium, Bismuth, Hafnium, Indium, Magnesium, Manganese, Rhenium, Selenium, Silicon and Tellurium, there are few companies that trade such a full suite of products for industrial end use.
