[Ferro-alloys.com]After half year’s decline, the low grade nickel ores future price started to rebound in end Jan., 2015. The main reason was the limited supply of the Philippines mines in rainy season. According to the statistics, in mid-Jan., the FOB price of low grade nickel ores (Ni0.9-1.1%，Fe49%) dropped to USD13-14/wet mt, decreasing by 68.2% compared with that of June, 2014. in end Jan., the miners tried to pull up the price. on Jan., 30th, the above material price increased to USD16-17/wet mt. under the strict environmental laws, the operating rate of blast furnace was low, which restricted the demand for low grade nickel ores. however, as the miners offered firmly in the same time, the traders just had meager profit.

In spot market, the low grade nickel ores price stayed stable from Dec. to Jan. after a long time decline. The low grade nickel ores stock was still in high level, while the price basically had no larger falling space for the high cost. In recent two months, the Ni ore(Ni0.9-1.1%，Fe49%) was quoted at RMB210-220/wet mt. at present, under low capacity release, the FeNi producers tried to pressure on the price, resulting in stalemate condition in trading. It was expected that the recover period of the low grade nickel ores spot would be delayed until end of Feb., 2015.
