[Ferro-alloys.com]In recent week, the LME nickel price continued to decline, which closed at USD15335/mt on Dec.24th, down by USD185/mt compared with that of last week. Meanwhile, the nickel stock rose by 4185tons to 410880tons, recording the highest new high. On Dec.26th, Jinchuan 1# nickel price decreased by RMB1100/mt to RMB107900-108300/mt.

Despite of the tight supply of low ferronickel under low capacity release condition, the price turned stable after one month rise. The decreasing demand from downstream weakened the price, which was quoted at RMB2600-2650/mt (ex-works price with tax).this week the medium and high FeNi price declined by RMB40/Ni as FeNi with (Ni 4-6%) was quoted at RMB1090-1110/Ni, ferronickel (Ni 6-8%) at RMB1080-1100/Ni and ferronickel (Ni 10-15%) at RMB1080-1100/Ni.

The latest high FeNi price of some large steel mills was settled at RMB1090-1120/Ni while some traders offered at RMB1050-1060/Ni (ex-works price).as the nickel price fluctuated largely, the FeNi producers faced high risk while on the whole the medium and high FeNi price presented certain of resilience for the high nickel ores cost and the low FeNi production.
