In the manganese triangle area, mainstream ex-work price of manganese flake decreased from RMB12400-12600/mt (USD2000-2032/mt) to RMB12100-12300/mt (USD1952-1984/mt). Market confidence was insufficient and many deals were made at RMB12050/mt actually. In Huangpu Port, export price dropped to USD2050-2090/mt FOB.

As more EMM capacity was released recently, spot supply was abundant. Some stainless steel mills stopped production for maintenance recently and reduced procurement of EMM. Therefore, oversupply was more severe.

Selenium dioxide (SeO2) market was stable last week. Mainstream ex-work price of 98% SeO2 stayed around RMB 235/kg. The main use of selenium dioxide was still in EMM industry at present.

Current price dropped by RMB600/mt year-on-year and many manufacturers were in loss. Market price nearly touched bottom and it was likely to stay above RMB12000/mt supported by rigid cost.
