Raw material cost increased, especially sulfuric acid, which elevated EMM price. Meanwhile, there was some hype in the market because downstream demand was still weak. Selenium dioxide price was stable. Ex-work price of 98%SeO2 stayed around RMB260/kg.

EMM market in Europe went up again recently. According to the latest data of MB, warehouse price of 99.7% manganese flake in Rotterdam rose from USD2340-2400mt to USD2350-2410/mt. This price was already USD 100/mt higher than early August.

Major EMM manufacturers in China took cautious attitude on operation and new capacity was released slowly. Spot inventory increased as market price rose. EMM market was predicted to be stable this week.
