The company’s flagship gold project, Bundarra, is located in the Leonora region of Western Australia. The Bundarra Project is 100% owned by SR Mining of which Bligh holds a 71.9% interest. The Project has an Ore Reserve of 1.63 million tonnes at 2.29 g/t Au for 120,006 oz of gold* across four deposits (Celtic, Wonder West, Wonder North, Great Western and Bluebush), all deposits are open in at least one direction. The mine was previously operated by Pacmin and Sons of Gwalia from 2000-2003.
Bligh Resources' additional tenements are located in the following areas:
- Kumarina Manganese Project: 125 km south of Newman, WA
- Leonora Gold Project : 30 km north-west of Leonora, WA
- Bootu Creek 2 Manganese Project: : 40 km south of OMH’s Manganese Project
Bligh Resources' strategy has been to secure projects which are near to established infrastructure so possible future development and resource recovery are not hampered by uneconomic infrastructure investment. Bligh continues to assess the acquisition of additional tenements, farm-in arrangements, and Joint Venture Agreements that enhance its portfolio of projects.
*The Ore Reserve Estimate and Mineral Resource were prepared and first disclosed under the JORC Code 2004. It has not been updated since to comply with the JORC Code 2012 on the basis that the information has not materially changed since it was last reported.
