[Ferro-alloys.com] Cored wire market was still stable in China last week. In Henan province, ex-work price of Ca98%min∮9㎜ pure calcium wire stayed around RMB 12200/mt (USD 2033/mt) . Ex-work price of Ca28Si55∮13㎜ CaSi wire stayed at RMB 9800-10000/mt. Ex-work price of C98%∮13㎜ carbon stayed at  RMB 4600-4800/mt. Operation of major manufacturers was good. Calcium metal market was peaceful.

Some official of Beijing Zhengdayinguang Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (BZST) disclosed recently the company developed high-magnesium wire successfully last year. Its core powder was pure magnesium powder and it was less expensive. This product was mainly used to replace SiMg cored wire. BZST is a high-tech enterprise located in Zhongguancun Science Park of Beijing. Its leading product is SiMg alloy which is widely used in cast tube and nodular cast iron. BZST has five cored wire sets and annual capacity is about 10,000 mt.

Some official of Xixia Shenlong Metallurgy Furnace Charge Co., Ltd. (Shenlong Metallurgy) disclosed recently the company is running well and monthly output of cored wire is about 2,000 mt currently. Shenlong Metallurgy is the second largest cored wire manufacturer of China. It has 13 cored wire sets and annual capacity is about 30,000 mt. It is a brunch of Henan Xibao Metallurgy Materials Group Co., LTD (Henan Xibao) which was founded in 1969.

As macro economy was running weak in China, steel market and cored wire market might go downward this week.
